It really gives me such hope! I lost 3 babies this year- my baby boy on 1/10/13 at 18 weeks and boy/girl twins on 8/1/13 at 21 weeks with a failed TVC. I wished I had been educated and spoke to Dr. Haney when I had my twins; I feel like they would've still been in my tummy now if I just skipped the TVC and went straight to the TAC! I regret that choice that I had made and unfortunately have to live with it. Through stories like yours, I have such hope for the future! Hubby and I plan to get my TAC in January 2014; start the new year off on a good note! Following my Pre-pregnancy TAC we plan to try again. We conceived our twins via IUI since I have PCOS and don't always ovulate on my own; first try and we conceived them... Hope to have the same luck next time. Thanks again and take care!

~ Erin
mjbrett@msn.comAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5173890696852365042.post-57925472177301619812010-10-19T11:13:41.402-07:002010-10-19T11:13:41.402-07:00Hey Trisha, Ok, I just re-read the comment that I ...Hey Trisha, Ok, I just re-read the comment that I wrote - I got the TVC put in around 12 weeks and funneled to the stitch. All of these acronyms :-) I had a failed emergency cerclage (TVC) in 2005 and now a failed preventative cerclage (TVC) this year.

Now I am in full TAC research mode, going to talk to my doctor about seeing if my insurance will pay for a TAC in advance or if I have to wait to get pregnant.

Sorry for the misprint. I just ...Yvonne, I'm so sorry for your losses. I just want to clarify, that after reading your blog, I see that you had lost your third baby at 23w5d to a failed TVC, not a failed TAC. I wish you HUGE success with the TAC. You are a beautiful MOTHER. I found your blog and sadly I am one o...Hi Trisha,

I found your blog and sadly I am one of the ladies that did not have a TAC done. I lost 2 boys in 2004 and 2005 at 16 weeks gestation. The first one was considered PPROM and a fluke the second one was definitely IC. My high risk doctor felt that if he put the TVC in early that it would not be a problem. I mentioned to him about TAC and he said that it shouldn't be necessary. I got the TAC put in around 12 weeks and at 18 weeks I had funneled to the stitch. I spent 31 days in the hospital and delivered my baby girl at 23 weeks 5 days. Just 2 days shy of viability. She lived in the NICU for 4 days and died on September 27, 2010. It has been a long hard road, but thanks to blogs like yours I feel hope and joy that the TAC can help with future children!Vonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02088054886809032011noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5173890696852365042.post-6372157075975589232010-10-12T12:19:21.178-07:002010-10-12T12:19:21.178-07:00OMG SWEETIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My high risk dr wasn't willing to do anything more than a rescue TVC at 16 weeks, if necessary. Of course, I wasn't comfortable with that, so after much reading and researching I decided to go with the TAC. I'm getting it done this Friday, 10/15, by Dr. Davis. I'll be 11 weeks. I'm nervous, but anxious to get it over with!

Lara and Trisha...you've been given me the encouragement and strenth to fight for this, so thank you so much! Hope you're both doing well from your surgeries!Daniellenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5173890696852365042.post-2998009763665807922010-10-08T10:09:35.822-07:002010-10-08T10:09:35.822-07:00thanks Reeses!!!thanks Reeses!!!Trishahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04299991347968438414noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5173890696852365042.post-74895283473595405592010-10-07T19:41:18.982-07:002010-10-07T19:41:18.982-07:00Hi Trisha,

I'm so scared for her! I hope this surgery continues to make waves and that more and more people become advocates for their health.Larahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14724675337980390322noreply@blogger.com
